Chapter 8~ As the Sun Peeks Through the Trees

Hey guys! Can you believe we’re almost at part 10? Anyway, I hope you like it!

By morning I was in brighter spirits, Tesla was good company and she helped me find a stream. It felt good to clean my face and I know I needed to clean my gun wound but I’m worried about the pain, it would not be good to pass out in water. But I start to undress so I can get to the wound. I grit my teeth everytime I move, the bullet needs to come out, I just don’t know how to get it out. I massage the area around the wound, washing away the dried blood. Even touching it brings stars dancing before my eyes. After I wash it I redress and wonder what to do next. I’m going to need food soon, my stomach has been growling all night and it keeps cramping. I’m stroking Tesla’s furry ears, wondering what to do, when she bolts off into a thicket.

“Tesla!” I yell, I can’t go after her and I don’t want her to leave. As I wait I jingle her collar in my hand, I look down and read the label on the tag. It reads;

 Number; Dog 134

Job;Corpse Clearer

 Breed; German shepard\coyote\unknown

Tesla comes bounding up, tail wagging and a rabbit dangling out of her mouth.

“I thought you ran off and you weren’t coming back!” I laugh at her, a bit relieved. I ponder her tag. If she’s a corpse clearer that explains why she can pull me with ease. But if she works for the Dogs, does that mean they’ll be looking for her? I hope not. I slip her collar back on and she stands in front of me and her tails wags expectantly. I grab her collar and she starts to drag me again. It still hurts but it’s not a as painful as dragging myself. Tesla dosen’t seem to get tried quickly and soon it’s afternoon. The sun is getting weaker and weaker with each day and wind starts to picks up. I shiver, even with all my coats on. I talk to Tesla and my mind tells me I’m crazy. I just need someone to talk to or I’ll go mad. And the only living thing here is Tesla. I start to slip into sleep and I shake myself awake. I take a break and prop myself against a rock. I let myself dose while Tesla does whatever she does. Then I hear something that rises terror in my mind. Horses hooves, Army men. I look around with Tesla, she’s not here. I start dragging myself and I let out yelps of pain as I try to slither away. I’m going too slow, I’m going to be found by the Dogs. I glance behind me and see a large gray horse galloping towards me, the rider has spotted me. I try to see the rider but they’re  crounching low to the horse and I can only see a ratty coat. I furrow my brow as I struggle to keep moving. Why would one of the Dogs’ horsemen be in rags? Usually they were treated with armidration and respect. They always has nice clothes and good food. Sometimes even good living quaters. I shake it out of my thoughts and I realize I’ve only moved a few feet from the rock. I feel tears dam behind my eyes and the try to blink them away. Soon the horse and the rider is practically on top of me. To my suprise the rider doesn’t shoot. I don’t understand why not? I’m obviously not a soldier. Why doesn’t he shoot. Instead the rider stops his horse and slides off. My breath catches as the rider walks toward me. The second I see his face I feel a surge of guilt. Why am I guilty? I push the feeling away, it’s not important. He is the most handsome thing I’ve ever seen. His greens eyes are so intense it takes my breath away and his blonde hair is short and every hair is in place but it doesn’t look like he put anything on it. His skin is fair and clean. His lips are in an almost smile as if something’s funny. He approaches me carefully, taking in my awful sight. I must be the ugliest thing he’s ever seen. Something like a troll.

“Who are you?” He asks. His voice is soft and nice to hear. I instantly want him to talk more.

“Poppy. My name is Poppy.” My voice is hoarse and ugly. I feel self conscious.

“That’s a nice name.” Then he cocks his head, with that funny smile, “I won’t hurt you don’t worry. Although it doesn’t look like you’ll be able to do much if I tried to…”

“What is your name?” I ask quickly, I don’t like him pointing out how vulerable I am.

“Ah, I guess that’s an improtant detail, my name is, Chase.” His werid little smaller grows a bit larger.

“Chase?” I murmur.

“Yes Chase. It means huntsman you know?” He sits down nest to me and plays with some dead leaves on the floor. I wonder where Tesla is, maybe she’s hunting? But she’s been gone for a long time… I silently send a message for her to come back.

“I didn’t,” My mind suddenly shakes itself out of it’s thoughts of his beauty and I suddenly became wary of this boy.

“I’m sorry, how rude.” His smile dissappears and he shakes his head, “There are much more important things to attend to. What happened to you?”

“I was shot by…” I pause, should I tell him? “The Dogs as they are commonly known.”

“Ah of course.” His little smile is starting to bug me. “Well then I guess I better help you. Right?”

“That would be helpful, yes.” I pause, “Do you by any chance, know how to remove a bullet from flesh?”

“Why yes, I’m an expert in removing bullets.” He winks and that terrifies me.

“Nevermind,” I shake my head and give a very fake smile. “I’ll figure it out.”

“Don’t worry I know what I’m doing.” He gives me a reassuirng look. “I’ve done it before.”

“Do you need supplies for it?” I ask, my terror slowly dipersing. Why is it so easy to trust him?

“I have everything I need but thank you.” His smile grows genunine and I suddenly feel comfrontable. I trust him. “Ok lay down on your stomach and don’t move otherwise you will feel the worst pain you’ve ever felt in your life. Well, even if you don’t move, this is going to hurt. A lot”

Part Three~ Christmas; The Weridest Part of the Year

OK guys, here’s part three. Sorry I’ve been a bit busy but I hope you enjoy!

Lily just stands there, awkwardly. And I don’t really do anything about it. I know what she’s expecting me to say, something along the lines, “I’m not your sister!” But I am so this just might get a little more awkward. How did she find my house anyway?

“Come with me, to my room.” I say softly, then I grab her hand and lead her to my room. Josie is off tutoring someone at school or something so we have the room to ourselves, “Why do you think I’m your sister?”

“Well, I’m a foster kid and I had a sister and we look really alike and we have the same last name,” She’s been practicing this speech ever since I beat up Alex.

“I’ve been waiting for you to figure this out since History,” I sigh, “How’s your life been?”

“Well this summer I skipped two grades, that’s why I’m in your class,” Her smile is so big, “And I’ve only had one foster home and I thank God for that everyday.”

“Wait, what?” I lick my lips, “Lily, are you a Christan?”

“Yea, why?” She srcunches her brow. I give an epic sigh and flop on my bed. Why does this happen to me? Couldn’t it have been someone else? don’t I have enough problems? “What’s wrong Holly?”

“You seriously believe someone or something is watching over you?” I scoff, I don’t try to hide my distain. “Really?”

“And you believe the world came into being from nothing?” Her eyes flash and her jaw clenches.

“Yes, because I don’t think someone who is loving and kind would let a little girl be left on the road!” My voice cracks and she notices.

“God was just trying show you something! Then he brought us together and we can share our story so we can bring others to him!” She looks so committed it’s ridiculous. I lived with a foster family once and they were christans. It didn’t end well. I was so against the idea that I offended them. A lot. Enough so that they kicked me out. Ever since then I haven’t been a fan of religion.

“You really think that don’t you?”I want to just curl up and cry. I finally found my long lost sister and she’s so blind that she can’t see the truth.

“Yes I do. And you know what? I don’t care if you don’t!” She pinches the brigde of her nose and starts to walk away, “See you after break.”

“Lily- Wait!” I start to get up but she’s already gone, “Holly, you are the biggest idiot in the world.” I mutter. I feel tears sting my eyes as I struggle to keep myself together.

“Your right. You are an idiot,” Josie picks the worst times to come home, “Who was that?”

“No one,” I sigh one again, “No one you need to worry about.”

The rest of the day goes pretty uneventfully until I get a call. It’s from Jason. Marissa is a very techy person, therefore I get a phone. But since she’s over protected I’m only supposed to use it in emerency. I’m really bugged, how do these people keep finding me? I pick it up.

“Who is this?” I ask with a monotone voice, “And how did you get my number?”

“Hey it’s Jason.” He voice sounds really werid on the phone, kinda like a girl’s, “I’m magical, that’s how I got your number. And there’s this thing called a phone book.”

“What do you want?” I try to make my voice sound really scary, I have no clue if it’s working.

“Uh wondering if you wanted to come over. I invited a bunch of people and thought you might want to come?” I can almost see him smiling and it’s looks pretty goofey in my mind, “Did you know your voice sounds like a guy’s on the phone?”

“Why would you want me to come? I think that would make you instantly unpopular,” I continue to draw Lily’s face. I’m such a creep, drawing people who hate me, “Thanks for letting me know what my voice sounds like. Your’s sounds like a girl’s.”

“I want you to come. Please.” He sounds really desperate and it’s creeping me out, “Alex will be there. You can beat her up if you want, I’ll even help.”

“Fine. What time?” I glance at the clock that sits on Josie’s yellow desk, it reads 5:30.

“How bout 6:00?” I lick my lips, do I really want to do this?

“Kay.” I’m about to hang up whem Jason adds,

“Where something other than a hoodie.” I twist my lips into a scowl. Do I own anything besides a hoodie? I hang up then walk to my closet. I find a ton of stuff piled everywhere, mostly hooddies. I manage to find a gray, long sleeve cardigan. It reaches past my knee and doesn’t look horrible. And it doesn’t stink. Which is a plus. I find a black tank top to wear under it. It has some words on it but I don’t bother to read it. I don’t even know where  I got these clothes. I find some tan lace up boots and a pair of ripped jeans that actually look cute. Then I brush through my thick black hair and rearrange the ebony cruls a certain way. Then I use a bit of gold eye shadow and mascara and I’m not dissapointed by the end product. I glance at the clock, I have twenty minutes to walk down to Jason’s house. I look up his address and start to walk out the door.

“Dang. You dressed up? Where you going?” Josie asks with a smirk, “Hey mom come here.” I start to protest, Marissa’s going to have a ton of questions, but Marissa already here and she takes my appearence in.

“You look great Holly, where you going?”

“A friend invited me over. It only be for a little.” I almost add that there will be a lot of people there but that detail doesn’t really matter except for the fact that I’m more of a one on one person. Josie has this look that tells me she will grill me with questions later but I ignore her.

“Ok have fun.” She walks back into the kitchen and Josie goes into her room. I burst out the door. Then on foot in front of the other, I start walking to Jason’s house. When I get there it’s way chiller than I thought it would be. I knock on the door and Jason answers.

“Hey.” He’s talking to someone else as he opens the door but when he looks at me he pauses, “Wow.”

“What?” I instantly wonder if the mascara smeared. Probably did, even if I used the water proof kind that’s like cement.

“You look better without a hoodie,” He nods, “Come on in. Alex’s in the living room, in case you care.” Then he winks and it’s weird. I exhale loudly and walk in. There are a lot people here. I want to go into the bathroom and never emerge but… Something compells me to try to be apart of this party. Nothing exciting is really going on. A lot of people dancing. A lot of people laughing and that’s about it. To my surprise I don’t see or smell any alcohol. Jason walks with me, he’s like an annoying little dog looking for scraps.

“You know anyone here?” He aks.

“Nope. Well… Not really.” I shrug, “I know of them.”

“Well it’s time you get to know them.” He links his arm in mine and before I can protest, he’s introducing me to people. There goes any chance of laying low and waiting this out. First he introduces me to this couple. They look slightly cute together, except they look similar enough that they could siblings. That’s kinda werid. Their names are Noel and Charlie. Noel is perky and Charlie loud. They both have dark brown hair that is the same length (short) and they both have brown eyes.

“Nice to meet you Holly!” Noel calls as I walk away.

“That was rude.” Jason mutters, I didn’t really talk to them, just waved. And walked away.

“Was Lily invited?” I mumble. Even if she hates me, it would be nice to see her.

“Um yeah she should be coming, I invited her for you,” He smiles at me, expecting me to smile back. I don’t.

“Is she here?” I absent mindedly play with my hair. It probably starts to get frizzy, I don’t really care. He shakes his head and I sigh. I really should not have come. Then there is a knock on the door. My hopes rise past where I usually let them. It could be Lily. Jason goes up to the door and Lily face appears when he opens it. She looks amazing, wears a white dress and her hair is down and frames her perfect little face. She smiles at Jason and gives me a look. It hurts. A lot. “Hi Lily.”

“Hello Holly.” Her voice is cold.

“Can we talk?” I whisper in her ear.

“Why not?” Her sounds so mad that I want to forgive and move on. But I have talk to her first. We find a corner that’s quiet enough and we stand there for a bit. Just as awkward as eralier today.

“I’m sorry.” I feel tears coming to my eyes and hate myself for it.

“Do you want to make it up to me?” She crosses her arms and I know she’s serious. She gets this look that reminds me of Josie.

“Yes. I really do.” I nod.

“Then you will come to the Christmas service on Christmas at my church and you will keep an open mind about it. I already forgive you but… I need to know you mean it.” It’s a fair trade. But I don’t know if I can afford it. I can try to keep open mind but we’ll see.

“I’ll come.” I nod, “Then we can spend the rest of break getting to know eachother?”

“Ok. Thanks Holly. Please keep an open mind.” She smiles and her eyes shine. I don’t know why but I know my eye shine the same way. Lily goes off to make friends and I’m back to standing by myself. Jason spots me and beckons to his friends to follow him. I do my best to scowl but I’m so happy that it probably looks like I’m constipated.

“Hey you must be Holly. Jason talks about you a lot.” One of guys, a older one who looks like a football player, elbows Jason and Jason rolls his eyes.

“I really don’t talk about you that much.” He bites his lips and it makes me wonder… I push the thought away, it’s a stupid thought. “Anyway, this is Chris, Hunter and Aron.”

“Hi, I think I’m gonna go Jason,” I search for an excuse, “I have a lot to do at home.” Not a good one I know, my mind’s racing from Lily’s talk and I’m really tried.

“Oh, are you sure?” Jason looks more than slightly dissapointed and I don’t know why, he has other friends. “Stay just a little longer?”

“No. I have to go.” I wave goodbye to the other guys and walk to the door.

“I’ll see ya later Holly.” He waves and I nod. Then I walk home. It’s a quiet walk and I get a little chilly. I’m definitly going to keep to my hoodies. I walk in quietly and find Josie already asleep in my room. It’s only 8:30. I smirk to myself and open my notebook. Then I groan. I need to figure out Lily’s number so I can asked her which church she goes to. And I doubt Marissa will be excited that I’m skipping apart of Christmas to be with my friends (that’s what it’ll look like to her). I basically just sketch random things until I’m going to collapse. It’s now 1:30. Not sure how that happened but whatever. I pass out of my bed and I’m ready to enjoy my winter break.

Christmas; The Weridest Part of the Year~ Part Two

Yay! Part two! Hope you guys like it and if you have a suggestions for anything comment below!

When I wake I realize I’m late. Usually I’m woken up by Josie- who wakes up at four- but not today. It doesn’t really matter, it’s the last day of school. They can’t do much to me. Unless they want to give me more homework. I sigh and lanch myself out of bed. I put on a cleaner hoodie, a black one with Captain America’s shield on it. And slip on a pair of jeans, then I throw my black hair up into a messy bun and grab my backpack. As I run out the door I slip on my shoes.

“Have a good last day of school Holly!” Marissa calls out. I don’t think she realizes I forgot to eat breakfast and I forgot to pack a lunch otherwise she would’ve made me pack one.

“Kay.” I shout. Then I sprint to school. I end up being only 20 minutes late, it could be definitly worse. When I slide into my seat my teacher gives me a pointed back and I give her an innocent smile. Luckily I have all of my homework otherwise I would be in trouble. My teacher give a long lecture on math and whatever and I make it a point to not listen, I hate Math. It sucks. A lot. Anyway by the time class is over, I’m almost asleep so when I get to history I make sure that I do listen. At first it’s just my teacher talking about Christmas and stuff but someone interupts. It’s a girl, she looks about 12, and she looks super nervous.

“Um hi, I’m supposed to be in this class for the second semester. But uh… I wanted to check out the class before the second semester started. Can I join for today? I checked with the principle and stuff.” The girl’s face throws me off. Her blue eyes and black hair and clear skin look really similar to mine. She wears a purple long sleeve shirt and a pair of jeans, her hair in a dutch braid.

“Ah yes. I heard you were coming. Everyone say hi to Lily.” I almost start choking when my history teacher says this. Only the guy sitting next to me notices, he smirks at me. Lily is placed right in front of me and I can barely breathe. It’s her I just know it. It’s her. I almost pass out because I’m holding my breath. I let go and it’s really loud. She turns and looks at me with a worried looks. I almost start crying. She really here. I smile a little, to tell her I’m ok and she turns back around. A tears drips onto to my cheek and I curse it and wipe it away. How do I tell her? Do I tell her? No, I can just watch from a distance. I don’t want to freak her out. For a second I wonder why she’s in my class but I don’t really care. SHE’S HERE! When class ends I go to English and then to lunch. At lunch I sit by myself. As usual. But then something different happens. Someone comes to talk to me. It’s that guy, Jason.

“Hey Rupuzel.” He smiles as if we’re sharing an inside joke. I’m not sure if we are or not. I want him to leave me alone. I need to think. Because she’s here.

“Hmm hi.” I try to look busy bit I don’t even have any food to eat while he talks, “Can I help you?”

“Uh no. You just looked lonely,” He shrugs and runs his hair through his tidal wave hair. Not sure how he keeps it that way.

“I don’t get lonely,” I say matter of factly, “I was born to be a loner. So you can leave.”

“Man. You are really rude you know that?” He trys for a smile, I don’t return it, “Anyway I’m going to sit with whether you like it or not because I don’t want to look like a bad friend.”

“We are not friends,” I’m done with this, I start to get up when he grabs my hand.

“How ’bout I buy you lunch and we can be friends?” He looks slightly fustrated.

“Oh yea, cafeteria food, sounds real good.” I start to walk away again and he stops me. Yet again.

“My gosh Rupuzel, I’m trying to be nice to you!” He shakes his head. I try not to smile when calls me Rupuzel again, “Nevermind.”

Then he walks away and I sigh in relief. I don’t want to talk to anyone. Espically him. I search for Lily in the crowd of students and find her sitting with the whole cheer squad. Our school is kinda like those movies where the cheer captain has her army of rich brats and they go around tomenting people. Except you can’t tell any adult because she so nice to them. I watch Lily carefully, averting my eyes when she looks at me, I’m worried what the cheer captain will do to her. I think the cheer captain’s name is Alex or something like that. I’m pulled out my thoughts when something clatters on the table. I whip my head around to see Jason with a tray of food.

“Really? Why?” I twists my features into a scowl.

“I’m not going to tell you but you can thank me by telling my why that girl interests you so much.” He gets a look in his eyes that tells me that there’s something more to this bargain. My stomach growls.

“Fine. Hand over the meatloaf,” I pick through the meat loaf, trying to avoid the ketchup. I hate ketchup. I try to eat slowly but I’m practicly starving. I finish it and look up. I glance at Lily, checking on her, it doesn’t look like Alex has done any harm yet.

“So?” Jason looks at me.

“Um, the girl’s my look alike that’s why I’m so interested.” I nod and try to look convicing.

“When are you going to stop lying?” And there is the feared answer of all liars.

“Ok look. I’m a foster kid and I had a sister but I thought died and that might be her.” I say this quickly and my voice doesn’t crack the whole time. I’m slightly proud of this.

“Wow. Good job. Wanna tell me your real name?” He’s pushing it and he knows it, “And why don’t you say hi?”

“I don’t wanna look like a creep.” I give him my best ‘duh’ voice, “And my real name’s Holly.”

“You won’t look like a creep. Go say hi!” He looks slightly bugged, “Cool name.”

“No. She probably doesn’t need to know she’s related to me. I know I wouldn’t want to know.” Then there’s this awkward silence and I go back to eating the pudding that came with the meatloaf. It’s vanilla, I’d rather it be choclate. I watch Lily, she’s talking, smiling and making friends. Something I was pretty much unable to do ever, much less the first day of school. Suddenly there’s a group of guys at the table, that’s not what bugs me. It’s the way they’re acting, a way I’ve seen this acted out before. I slowly get up from the table and walk in that direction. I try to look casual but I watch their every move. They talking to Lily, not very nicely. She looks confused. Then they start making fun of her or something and ALex joins in. Lily looks like she’s gonna cry and I have no clue what they did to her. I approach the table and Alex cocks her head at me.

“Can I help you Rupuzel?” I wonder how she’s knows that name, maybe I used that lie with her before.

“Yea, leave the kid alone,” I nod to Lily. I don’t think she’s ready for all the crap she gonna get at a high school. I’m trying to act like I really don’t care but my blood is boiling, even after all these years I’m still over protective.

“Why do you care?” She smirk, her blonde hair has brown tips and it almost looks like her hair is decaying, “Last I checked you didn’t care about anything.”

“Well you might want to go check again because your acting like a lot of things that I’m not going to say because I would probably get expelled or something and it bugs the heck out of me.” Jason has followed up behind (not sure why) and he looks at me funny, I ignore it.

“Just mind your own business. You can’t do anything bout anyway so just go away.”

“Well I can.” I don’t know what I’m doing, my mind has pretty much turned off and I’m going off insict or something like that.

“What can you do?” She looks so snooty I want to punch her, which I probably will but she needs to make the first move so that if a teacher sees us then I can say it’s her fault and that I was defending myself.

“Well come here and I’ll tell you,” She walks up and looks at me, her gray eyes flashing. I start to whisper something in her ear when I throw a punch. Right in the stomach, sadly she was expecting it and blocked it. Alex threw one and I barely dodged it. Then as I was scrambling away she punches me again on the face. Crap. I was not thinking this would get into a huge fist fight. I was thinking more like me slapping her and she submits, like a disney movie. I throw my fist and lands on her shoulder and she yelps. My face is throbbing, that girl knows how to throw a punch.

“A teacher’s coming!” A voice calls out. Everyone stops and I hit Alex one more time, her lip. It should burise very nicely. Lily was the one who called the teacher but I realize there is no teacher coming. Jason had just stood there the whole time and when I turn to him he goves me an apoligetic look.

“Didn’t want to help?” I ask I panting slightly and my face hurts. A lot.

“I can’t hit my ex girlfriend Holly,” He shrugs, “It looked like you have it covered.”

“Ugh, thanks.” I turn to Lily, she looks so childish and stuff that it makes me mad again and I know it was totally worth getting a black eye, “You ok kid?”

“Um yeah… You have a burise on your eye.” Her blue eyes still have that light, the one that I lost so many years ago. I nod, I’m very aware of that but thanks for reminding me again.

“Ok we got two more classes to survive. Let’s do this.” I try to sound confident but I’m starting to go back into my little shell. She nods and I start to walk away.

“Um thanks… what’s your name?” She asks, for once I don’t lie.

“Holly, Holly Bush,” She furrows her brow but I’m long gone, onto the next class.

By the end of the day, I’m so glad that winter break is here. I’m done with all that crap. School is for smart people who are… well smart and responsible and who don’t hate school… I guess?  I open the front door and find Marissa making Christmas cookies. They smell really really really good. I start to grab one and she swats at my hand.

“What happened to your eye, tell me and I’ll give you a cookie.” Why is everything a bargain for food? Her red hair is in some complicated braid which is neat and tidy. No shocker there.

“I bumped into a pole,” I shrug then grab a cookie before she can stop me.

“Well if I get any calls from school I’ll know they’re for you,” The cookie is choclate frosting and vanilla cookie and it has a ton of sprinkles. It tastes better than it smells. I go back to my to my room and plop on the bed and spend sometime doing nothing, it’s wonderful. I get out a pencil and paper and start drawing. It’s a different scene this time. It’s Lily’s face, just her face but she’s 12 this time and she’s wearing her hair down. She looks like a little clone of my. I smile when I finish and I lay on my bed thinking about her and about how much my face hurts. I go to the bathroom and look at it. It’s pretty ugly and no amount of makeup will cover it up. It’s all purple and blue and it make me look pretty creepy. Suddenly there’s a knock on the door and I hear Marissa open it.

“Holly, it’s for you.” I have no idea who it is but if it’s Jason I’m going to punch him. He’s such a stalker. When I get to the door I find someone completely different. It’s Lily.

“Hey Holly, this might sound werid but I think we are siblings…”

They are tricky

They throw you off the real trail

They distract you from you real purpose

It’s Planted There~ Avenger Fanfic

Ok guys, I have a few words of advice for you. DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE WATCHED BOTH AVENGERS! Otherwise you’ll be really mad at me because there are spoilers. & there will only be one part to this. Enjoy!

The girl rocks herself back and forth. She can’t wrap her mind around everything. Everyone dead. Everyone hurt. Everyone scarred. Everyone ruined. Images flashed through her brain as she rocks. She can’t handle it. It hurts her head. It tears at her mind as if something was eating her from the inside.

“Stabbed. Killed. Burned. Drowned. Crushed. Hung.” She mumbles. She didn’t even know where she was. Too many images going through her brain. Too many ruined lives flashing through her skull. She noctices she was in a plane or something and that maybe someone else is in here. She huddles in a corner mumbling, rocking and unable to deal with it all. “Fell to death. Bleed to death. Shot. Choked. Dead, Dead, DEAD.”

The girl starts screaming, not words anymore, just screams. It was too much to bear. She can’t do it. It is too much.

“Quicksilver.” Then it was sobs and studders. Someone was shaking her. Someone strong. She couldn’t look up. He had died. And she hadn’t done anything about it. “Quicksilver.”

“Hey.” A voice lurched her out of her thoughts. She looked up and almost screamed. A large green man stood awkwardly in front of her, his hand on her shoulder. The voice has sympathy in it. She doesn’t trust him though. She will NEVER trust anyone again. “You ok?”

“No, no, no, no,” She sobs. “Never again. Never again. I’m done with it. I can’t do it!”

“Do what?” The green man looks so uncomfrontable around her. She licks her lips as she struggles to speak, to speak real words, something this green man would understand.

“I- I- I’m done with the horrors of everything… All because Quicksilver is gone… and so many others dead. So many. So many.” She starts rocking again and the green man goes back to the front of the plane. He seems to not know what to say. She recongizes him as the Hulk or by his real name, Bruce Banner. She racks her memories for him. Her voice breacks as she quietly says, “You reacently killed.”

“What?” The Hulk turns from the cockpit, “What do you mean?”

“You killed people. You killed those innocent people in Africa.” Fear races through her and she trys to find more details on him. Her heart rate goes up and sweat breaks out across her skin. “Innocent people!”

“Oh…” He groans and covers his head wuth his hands, “That. I know, I know, I killed innocents. And if I could change that I would. I promise.”

“Promises can be broken.” She scoots back and presses herself against the wall as much as she can. “I know because I’ve broken them.”

“Look. I swear on my team’s life. I would change if I could but.. But I have no control over this monster.” His eyes soften as she looks into them. “What’s your name girl?”

“Leandra.” She whispers. He coccks his head and repeats the name. As he does this she gets up and grabs his neck. He starts to fight back then under her breath she whispers, a few words.

Then she steps back and shrinks back in the corner. At first the Hulk goes to attack her but then he starts to shrink and his skin turns to it’s normal colour.

“What did you do?” Instead of Hulk there is a man. Leandra’s heart stops racing.

“I figured out your scecret.”She nods, “No more killing.”

“How did you know?” He shakes his head as he finds a blanket in the emerency pack and wrap it around himself.

“Talents. That’s all I’m going to say.” Bruce sighs and lays down and he sleeps. Leandra wants to sleep herself but another image flashes through her mind. Quicksilver, lying on the floor, bloody holes all over him. Tears fill her eyes and they fall. She cruls up and crys as she shivers on the metal floor of the jet. After a couple hours she can’t help herself, she falls asleep.

At first her dreams are just repeats of th moment Quicksilver died but soon it was other things. Mostly just memories. The first one wass when they met. She had been six, her blonde hair was a bob and her green eyes still had that light in them. Quicksilver had bumped into her and they had stopped to talk. And then he told her about this experiment he was doing. And she had asked if she could do it to. And he said yes. She was so excited, Leandra went to the place where Quicksilve and the accepted her. Appartenly only Quicksilver, his sister and Leandra had volenteered. It was painful but they said she would be special when she was done. It mostly invovled needles and injections but it was worth it because she felt wanted, something she hadn’t felt since her parents died. SHe and Quicksilver became friends quickly, almost like family, but his sister always kept her distance. They never really got along. The experiment made her able to change forms. She could be any creature she wanted. She still could but she tried not to use her power anymore. When Quicksilver joined Ultron, she didn’t support him but she didn’t protest. He was entitled to his own opinions and that was final. Then he joined the Avengers. She was happy about it and she helped in the backround with those robots. Then Leandra had to watch her almost brother die. Then her dreaming self got stuck on that scene and it replayed in her mind. She jerked awake. Bruce still wasn’t green which was a good sign but he stares at her like she’s mutant. Which she kinda is.

“What?” She asks. He shakes his head as if he’s going crazy.

“You can change into other animals…” He peers at her.

“Um… I guess so… How can you tell?” She didn’t want her screat to be revealed to this stranger but since she knows his deactivation word then she guesses it’s fair.

“You changed in your sleep. You changed into a snake.” He nods. “I guess we both know our eachothers secrets.”

“So I guess we have to trust eachother…” Lenadra is only fourteen yet she has seen too much horror and too much death. SHe pushes the thoughts out of her head and her long blonde hair out of her face. She needed to be brave and she needed to trust the man.

So guys, how did you like it? Good, bad, not all that entertaining? Comment below if you have thoughts on it. What if the Hulk was in that jet with another person? Someone who knew his lulaby? Would he land and kick her out and risk getting tracked by Black Widow or would he keep the person in the plane?

Something no one has mastered.

Something no one has completely figured out

Something that is so comlex that even the smartest person in the world hasn’t been able to even begin to break down

No one can make it a science

Because  people’s actions are so random and they almost always have a reason

But the reasons are mixed up and jumbled together that they don’t make sense

Therefore, you will never be able to unerstand completely.
