Hey guys! If you missed my post on Monday that’s because… there wasn’t one! Haha but never fret! I’m going to be posting every Wednesday instead of Mondays. So umm enjoy and I let me know what ya think!
Okay, so I decided to kinda just explain my Nano project from last year because I feel like I haven’t really gone too much into it?? So uhhhhh let’s get started? Yes? Okay, awesome.
So the title is currently Embodiment but that’s a working title cause I actually haven’t finished it yet… go me.
Now, this was kinda a special project because I came up with the plot, characters, everything in like a day and then ditched my previous Nano project for it. It went well as one expected.
Meaning it went awful. Everything is underdeveloped and what the heck are real characters? Cause I don’t even know anymore. Anyway, let’s read a synopsis because why not?
Nate lives in a world of money. Lots of it. He couldn’t want for anything. He shouldn’t anyway. Because he has everything he could ever think of in his hands with a few words. How could he want something when there are parties every week and everyone automatically loves him?
But he does. He doesn’t just want. He yearns. He yearns because, for all the attention he receives, it doesn’t seem to be enough. He yearns because even if everyone wants to associate with him, it doesn’t fulfill him.
He wants to be on a stage. He wants a stronger spotlight than the one his parents give him. So when he finally lands a small role at a local theater, he gives it his everything.
And it becomes his everything. All he thinks of is how he can play the character better, how he can give the character depth.
And he does. A horrifying amount. Soon isn’t acting and his not playing a character.
Soon. All he is the character.
As his ownself slowly slips away, so does reality. He falls into a world of disappearing people and forests that talk.
And there appears to be no way out.
Ummm so yeah that’s kinda the basics of it. I feel like there’s a lot more to it than all that but I’m crap at explaining so this is what you get I guess. Anyway, it’s a story that I’m really loving because it kinda reminds me of The Raven Cycle. Not the writing. I wish I could write as well as the lovely Maggie Stiefvater But alas, not all of us can be writing goddesses. But it’s got magical forests and friends that cannot separate and a whole bunch of fun other stuff.
Anyway, hope this was somewhat interesting and hope you guys have a really good week. I’ll be coming up with some better, more interesting content soon I just need to rack my brain haha.
